I saw it last night and although the laughs are very hit and miss the war of the worlds bits were great and plenty. The tripods were awsome there almost as much tripod action in this as there is in the speilburg film.Go see it.

Ooooo. I'm seeing it tonight. Can't wait! The director is a comedic genius...sooo glad he picked up the series after number 2. The Waynes brothers just aren't that...funny all the time.
*cough* White Chicks.

I'm seeing them at Sheffield Arena and it'l be my 3rd Maiden gig, I have seen them at Sheffield on the Dance of Death tour and at Leeds Festival 2005 for the Early Days tour.
You heard that fake "leaked" new Maiden track? It's laughable!

Yeah but a magazine I had read gave V for Vendetta a 2/5 where as it really is a 5/5. I don't take what they say as truth. I don't believe that these 'experts' (I think that's what they call themselves ) always get it right.

Lol! I just got back from seeing it. It's hilarious! Unfortunetly it's only about an hour long...a short movie...but I laughed so much.
Plenty of Martiany goodness. The movie basically spoofs the entire Speilburg flick.
My favorite line...
Oliver: We'll build our own tripods. Ours will have four legs.
and...
Oliver: Like men and maggots, dragons and wolves, or...men riding dragons throwing wolves at the maggots...
See it!

I might go see it myself, not too much into the "scary movie" franchise but this one looks fun!

My friends have asked if I will go down with them in a couple of days time... I might well do. Don't know what to expect though - The only scary movie I've ever seen all the way through is #1, and I didn't really like it too much.

Scary Movie 4 is a bore. Its slapstick comedy becomes dry after the first 30 minutes. It totally overdoes the spoofing, it spoofs at least 10 different films in its plot line, of which a few are totally unnecessary such as the Million Dollar Baby and The Vilage Spoofs.
Though saying that some of the War of the Worlds spoofs were a good laugh. It was fascinating seeing the exact same sets from Spielbergs War of the Worlds in this film. The Crane scene at the docks near the beggining of the movie was feckin hilarious as was the hill scene (tripod CG suprising quite good, not great).
But sadly after the first 30 minutes the comedy becomes very repetitive, predictable and stupid (not in a funny way) with only the odd laugh.
I can't say i have loved the other Scary Movie films so i'm not too suprised i wasn't over struck on this one.
Scary Movie 4 - 4/10 (Just for the first 30 minutes)

Well I loved the first Scary Movie. The second one was ok... the third one... bleugh... so I had little expectations for the fourth. And I wasn't let down. It was awful! The movie opens with our "Saw" spoof. The set looked good, however how many times do we really need to see someone getting "hit over the head" ! It progresses into mish mash spoofs of every film under the sun. "The Grudge" scenes were lame, although I was impressed with how close the house interiors looked to the actual ones. I did however, enjoy the tri-pods. For a film as obviously low budget as this, the special and sound effects were great. Especially at the end when we see the aliens succumb to a, er.. virus.. of sorts. And I was tickled slightly by the Saw/WoTW cross over at the end.. it made me smile. But the rest of the film was just immature, predictable and not even remotely funny. And the sight of Leslie Nielsons saggy man breasts and overly large stomach caused myself and a couple of people beside me to spit out our popcorn in disgust! I must give credit to the costume designers though. Out of all of the spoofs, they got the WOTW down to a T... and it makes you wonder, if David Zucker can produce the same effect for less cash then Spielberg did, you cant help but ask yourself what spielberg actually did with his $200 million? If you love immature fart comedy, then im sure you'll love it. I however, left feeling deflated and not amused. 1/10 - and thats only because the tri-pods were cool

If you liked Naked Gun or Airplane the movie is the same deal. Can't be taken too seriously. I grew up watching all those spoof movies. So I guess it's an aquired taste. But I do have to agree that there is some pretty tasteless and stupid humor in there...but having seen Date Movie, I can say Scary Movie 4 makes me feel like I'm watching an intellectual film rather than a campy spoof. Like some have said...it's really short. That's what I disliked most.
