Hello, My name is Stephen Owen, i'm 28 from Warrington in Cheshire and i'm an alcoholic ... oh wait, wrong group. Got interested in all things WOTW thanks to Mr Wayne's music and i'm not an alcoholic (truth be told I hardly touch the stuff). My Pic. Claim to fame, I won the 'ikkle martian dude in the give-a-way a while back ... Yay! He's not eaten anything yet, but i'm keeping an eye on him. Looking forward to the concert in April. I'nm being made redundant at the end of this year and working my notice till Feb. Then i'll get a low tech job as i'm dissillusioned with IT at the moment (after 7 and a half years at the same company). Ste.

Now I've been attempting to post a nice piccy of myself on here for about half an hour now, but, as I still believe lightbulbs are powered by magic, the chances of my working this here internet thingy out before Armageddon are pretty slim. Anyway, I'm Rocka, aka Sean Keefe. Born in the quaint Industrial eyesore that is Warrington, Cheshire 32 years ago and have been slowly gravitating anywhere else ever since. Seem to have settled in Preston, Lancs for a while now, so I suppose a change will be on the cards soon.... I'm a guitarist, so I teach and play the odd gig here and there for a living. It's taken ten long years of slog to get to this point, but seems to be just starting to pay off now. Just putting my new band (Sean Keefe & The Hostages) through their paces as we speak. Hopefully I'll have 'em in a studio to lay down an album in the New Year, then head out on the road for a bit, but we'll see. These things always tend to go pear -shaped at the last minute, don't they? I spend a good bit of time on the road as I have a crackers seven year old son (Henry) who lives with his mum and stepdad in Suffolk, so I'm down there a lot. Nice part of the country, too. Music - wise, I'm a devout worshipper of the miracle that is Bruce Springsteen. I also like pretty much anything with loud guitar and something to say, from Johnny Cash to Slayer. good Rock n Roll, you know? Check out the beautiful and sensitive Motorhead too! Not too into extreme stuff, but can fling myself around a dancefloor to anything, if shandy has been supped! Just had an early Christmas present, as Mrs Rocka told me last Monday that she's expecting our first baby next summer! Looks like 2006 is gonna be a busy year for Mrs Keefe's little boy! Anyhow, good luck to you all. I'll post a piccy any decade now. Imagine a cross between Mick Hucknall and Bruce Willis. Now shave it bald and you've pretty much got me!

Actually.. having just put your photo up, Rocka, I'm thinking less Mick Hucknall, more like you have some Mitchell ( Phil or Grant out of Eastenders) blood in your veins. Congrats on the upcoming mini Rocka, btw!

Hi Folks, My name is Chris Oakley, as you probably can guess from the username, and I've been a WOTW fan since I first saw the album that my brother had in 79. It scared the heebie jeebies out of me but I was hooked by the thing. Those Tripods would give me nightmares of being trapped in the house whilst they paraded around outside. My brother also used to tell me the electricity pylons in our area would turn into fighting machines at night and come and get me. He is 8 years older than me and I was 6 at the time. What a swine. Over the years I've worked as a Computer Programmer and Technician and I'm currently working as a Radio Presenter on Wrexham and Chesters MFM 103.4 and also Wirrals Buzz 97.1 doing the afternoon show from 3. I'm married to Lisa and have a son Thomas Michael who was born 4th Sept 2005. For years I have been on a quest to find the original 1920s War of the Worlds film. "What Film?" you're saying!!! It turns out there wasn't one, but I thought there was - it was the darned 1978 Promotional Film I'd seen back in the 80s and I imagined it must have been clips from an old film. God knows where I dreamed up that idea, but thanks to these forums I'm now back into reality. I never realised WOTW had such a following, and it's nice to see so many people taking such an interest. And if there is one thing life has taught me is that if my son starts playing up I can frighten him with JW WOTW and the full colour booklet my brother has. I'll keep the "pylons turning into fighting machines" legacy running. Carry on!!!!
