Apart from the "glass" canopy, I like that design, it has a good feel of movement.

I like it, the movement of the legs, And it looks frightening, they all look frightening, anyway, there is only the window i dont like, i know it would be more normal to us, but not to the Aliens, i think if i am correct, that every story of wotw, The aliens machines, had no window. But beside it i like the model. Chantale.

Ii think if i am correct, that every story of wotw, The aliens machines, had no window. Chantale, that's a matter of interpretation... The narrator comments about the hood and the martian sitting in it. Now that means he could either see some part of the martian from his viewpoint on the ground, or he is relaying what is told after the invasion when the machines and their drivers are examined... yer takes yer pick KR

And, of course, we've got this piece of text from Book 2 Chapter 4 The Death Of The Curate:
Then I saw through a sort of glass plate near the edge of the body the face, as we may call it, and the large dark eyes of a Martian, peering, and then a long metallic snake of tentacle came feeling slowly through the hole.
The glass plate seems to be some kind of window...
