Dear All, Note to our British counterparts on this board: Coming up this May at the National Film Theatre (London) is an H.G. Wells film festival. Among the films scheduled to be shown are “Island of the Lost Souls,” Things to Come,” The History of Mr. Polly,” Kipps,” The Invisible Man,” and “The Door in the Wall.” The 1953 “War of the Worlds” was scheduled until it was 'insisted' that it be cancelled. There’s nothing on their website about the festival yet but watch their site www.bfi.org.uk/showing/nft/, or the Wells Society website hgwellsusa.50megs.com for more info.

Ah yes.. I e-mailed the BFI press office about that festival last week to find out what was to be shown but I didn't get a reply. Horsell.. I'm curious about that too.
