Was driving home saturday night, and as we went through Weathersfield CT (Which has a intresting meteoritc history of it's own) and we saw a brilliant green fireball on the horizon.

I live in Massachusetts [which is just north of Connecticut] and on Saturday night i saw a falling star in the sky…

I saw a bright green falling star once. It was a strange but unnerving sight. Had I not have read WOTW before I would have thought nothing of it. ;D

I´ve read once that Wells based the Green Meteors on a sighting of a real green meteor around the time he wrote the story.
