I've seen it stated on this forum that although WotW seems to be a tract against the evils of colonialism, Wells himself was not actually against colonialism, at least not in the way our "more enlightened" society is today.
But I'd like the details. Just what *was* Wells' opinion and/or philosophy towards British colonialism in the Victorian era? Can anyone speak to that? Or if this has already been discussed, point me to the old thread?
