I've been searching for this book for months, but it was only yesterday that I found it at a Half-price books, near-mint. I bought it. Duh.
Who else has this book, and what do you think of it? Me, personally, I think it's one of the best editions I've seen yet; from the massive information on the Orsen Welles radio play (including the radio-script to the play) to it's inclusion of the entire novel with the Warwick Goble illustrations, this is a good book.
Now if only I could find a copy with Correa's illustrations in hardback...ah, to dream...

The book is pretty good, but it's more about Welles than Wells. It does include the entire broadcast on cd, so that's nice!

Quite so.
Johan'? Am I astute in guessing that's German?

<------- Is that the one with this collage of Wells, a copy of the 1898 edition, and a couple of Corrêa illustrations? If so, then they misidentified Alvim Corrêa as Alvin Coreco (or something like that). I called the publisher to set them straight for the next edition. :-) Cheers! Carioca PS. Alvim Corrêa is the most prolific illustrator on Dr. Zeus' site! :-D drzeus.best.vwh.net/wotw/artist.html

Ah, that it be. But I don't care about one mis-spelled name as long as it's not in the majority of the book. The book iteself is the pride of my WotW collection now.
P.S. Carioca, where can I find that Alvim Correa edition, newly released, for cheapo?

I never said it was "official..."

That's true, but I wouldn't want to give anyone the idea that the original Corrêa edition from 1906 could be found for cheapo! :-)
If you order the book, please let me know your impressions of the print quality and quantity of illustrations, etc.
Thanks! Carioca
