This has been mentioned before, but David Cian has written a sequel to WOTW due out in paperback on the 1st June. Details on Amazon: www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1416504494/qid=1110883542/sr=1-4/ref=sr_1_4/104-9572782-8754316?v=glance&s=booksQuote: Look to the skies! That's not a meteor shower, but a fleet of ships [cylinders] forming the spearhead of an alien invasion force from the planet Mars! But in the 100+ years since the last invasion from the Red Planet, mankind has studied the confiscated Martian technology and found new uses for it, among which has been the creation of giant robots piloted by men and women dedicated to protecting the planet. Earth thinks it's ready for the invasion, but the Martians have made a number of improvements on their technology over the last century--improvements humanity isn't prepared to defend against? And this time, no mere cold virus is going to turn the tide of battle! Any thoughts to what improvements the Martians will have to counter Earth's enhanced technology? Also, what will be Earth's achilles heel...if any?

From the cover:
A century ago, we defeated the Martians. Now they're back to even the score!"

Somebody reads a little too much manga and watches just a little too much anime. Darn it! i was going to write a book with a similar premise, minus earth having giant robot pilots of course.
