[glow=red,2,300]Oh yes I'm so in the habit of lying motile. The person in question has run an internet based book, computer and DVD review business for over 10 years and his reviews have been published in a variety of Australian publications. He is currently retiring the review business because of ill health to concentrate on his academic work. He has even appeared on Australian tv being part of a live debate on 'Satanic Abuse' on Channel 9 back in the early nineties. As to Sills reaction and opinion, she has posted on that topic plenty herself. Now whether you agree with him or not that's your perogative, I know I seriously disagree with Margeret Pomerance and David Stratton on some of their reviews of films. That still doesn't justify your comment. Personally I found it rather offensive. [/glow]

I have to say I am with Motile on this one. The Pendragon trailer was very very poor in terms of quality and SFX but i think its also unfair to compare cos we got what was allegedly a full theatrical trailer for pendragons film where as we have only had a TV spot and a teaser trailer for the paramount version so to compare a 30 second TV ad to a 1min plus theatrical trailer is unfair anyway. A Theatrical trailer is BOUND to give u a better idea of what the film will be like than a TV spot is, a TV spot is simply to increase awareness of the film and give a TINY little glimpse of it as well, lets just wait to compare till we have a theatrical trailer for BOTH films

I presumed that you agreed with your critc friend so I say whatever Bayne. Do you agree with youur critic friends?

The fact that the martians, whoops, aliens are already here is a shame but I have heard worse ideas, it adds to the impression that the mart-------aliens have been planning this for a long time. Pleased to here the tripods will be around and that the m--aliens will bring the red weed and the heat ray etc. However, there is one area that I am not pleased with, can you guess what? Thats right, Tom Cruise, only joking, its because there are no martians just random aliens with nothing better to do than invade a planet bent on self destruction anyway. Evan Mars Attacks mannaged to get round the no life on mars bit and that was a comedy. Will they be indestructable independance day types? With bio-mechanical god knows what coming out of who knows where? One of the great things about the book is that th tripods are fallible so there is hope, which is then dashed and it sets you up psychologically.
