As I was browsing amazon for Wotw stuff, I noticed a new DVD showing up as being released on October 24th:

War of the Worlds, The [1954]

Release Date: October 24, 2005
Classification: To be announced

So... is this the George Pal version? Or another version I didnt know about? I certainly dont remember it being black and white!

Last I heard it was due November the 1st, but that's only a few days off. As for the black and white.. was that info on Amazon? If so, it explains a lot.
