If you have some smoke munitions to defuse any 'ray' beams, then problem solved

I'd call them 'snot rays'.

They can be neutralised with a large hanky, optimum patterning yet to be determined.

and I call the other one the "YADDA YADDAH YAH!" ray of death

Durring the initial appearance of the ships when all hell breaks loose either Forrester or General Thing calls it a skeleton beam.

The actual connection between the two was amazing to realize, and makes me even more pleased that the 1953 invasion inspired such a nice, though fictitional, Trek tech![/shadow]

The 'blaster beam' sound effect...the psychedelic greenness...ahhh. Fifties sci-fi at it's best.
