Actually, it is looking pretty impressive. I think it will be quite an enjoyable flick. Love that guy getting smoked by the heatray, kind of reminds me of Pall's movie.

That was my thought exactly at that point. It is starting to shape up to be an enjoyable film.

I really like what I see here. There were alot of scene's during the trailor that reminded me of the book, such as the end showing C.T. Howell wondering through a wrecked DC, like the books narrator in London. It is also nice to see that ASYLUM are using the Black Smoke for there version as you see one of the machines launching one of the cannisters.
I too agree with you guys about the poor guy who gets hit by the Heat Ray, very George Pal.

interesting, interesting... i reckon that the cgi, whilst looking cool on a small window on the pc will probably not look quite so good on a big tv but we all know it's done on a much lower budget... fair enough, then. i reckon it looks pretty good actually, i'm genuinely looking forward to it (go it on pre-order already)

Hehe
Looks like they are paying homage to George Pals version in more ways than one.
The guy who gets snatched backwards by the tenticle, look closely and you will see the wires attached to him.

"Looks like they are paying homage to George Pals version in more ways than one." I never did quite buy the director's "I have never seen the Pal version" line. This seems to imply the opposite. Too much alike to be a coincidence. This might be fun.

You know, I lie about a lot of things...my age, weight, model-like good looks...but I usually don't lie about things that make me look like an idiot. I stand by my embarrassing statement about the Pal version (having not seen it).
That being said I can't say the same about my effects team or others involved in the show. Certainly they influenced a lot of the design. Also Wells is very graphic in his novel and I took cues from the book. So, Pal and I read the same book and came up with similar stuff. Go figure.
I'm so glad you all are enjoying the trailer!!! Please let this endorphin high last until you see the film.
Damn about the cables. Stupid DVD freeze-frame technology. BUT, to be fair with my visual effects team that really isn't a cable, it's a tentacle arm. It just looks like a cable (we're good, huh?). The problem came about because the real aliens were on a lunch break that afternoon so we had to use cables to pull the actors. Damn union aliens.

And that's about all we can ask for. The director himself dropping by again and taking part in the discussion :-) Eat yer hearth out, Steven! ;-)

you buy this rubbish, saturday night B movie or what, the only good thing about this film is seeing the ever complacent yanks getting B*ttF*k*d yet again, this is in the same league as pendragon, wait till its in the bargain bin or car boot sale then only watch it if your desperate!
