Yes Spielbergs new money-does-grow- on-trees movie is the, rain-on-true-fanboys parade version of the much ripped off classic story By HG Wells. Gasp in awe at the special effects that were artistically underused! Look on in amazement at Cruises teeth. Look on in awe at the DVD extra scenes that are so extra they are missing in the film! Marvel at how WOTW was used as a cash cow for a bunch of murdering religeous fanatical frausters! Yes YOU can donate to scientology too! Just purchase any DVD made by Indian and Chinese child wage slaves and you too can reach the upper tiers of Scientology wisdom! Dont delay, waste YOUR money today!...  Truth is between Pendy and Shortboy with big ego Cruise, there is nothing left to talk about WOTW other than insults. The whole franchise has become a joke fulled by big buisness and people with no real interest of the story. Other people may brush it under the carpet but i dont. I have a very highly toned sence of justice and when idiots p*ss on it i become a pitbull and never let go. Thats why apart from off topic i dont post much here now, cos insults are all i have left and like Motile i'll oneday upset someone to get me banned. |

And IMHO, the good 'ole 1953 George Pal version wasn't half bad. Granted, the movie pickings of late have been -ahem- slim, also IMHO, but there's endless speculation to be had in HG's descriptions in the original book. ;D |

Funnily enough, I bought the dvd the other day for the mere sum of £7.99, £5 of which was in a voucher, so I only really paid £2.99 for it- bargain! I like the film, but wouldn't pay full price for it. It did have a strong impact on me at the flicks last year though.
