Produced as a limited edition kit in the U.S and with a handsome price tag $300.

Why do they bother? What is wrong with a simple wind up plastic thing that walks, cheap and cheerful.

If that was diecast metal or hard plastic - I'd actually buy one of those. If it's resin or vinyl then forget it. I don't want it falling apart on me.

Impresive size too - almost 24 inches in height.
I have only ever had 1 resin/whitemeatl kit fall apart on me, and that was because I never used steel pins inside the joints. Always use them now, never had any problems.

I suppose I'm not much of a garage kit lover. I don't mind 'flesh and blood' creatures made of resin or vinyl but I prefer machines to be made of something durable.

If it hadn't been so ridiculously over-priced (and in the US...) I probably would have bought one of these. It's an impressive model. I'd love a JW style tripid in kit form actually. that'd be cool

I will possibly buy this. Obviously not now I spent all my money on other things.
But I do really want it.

that is a really cool model... great detail... unfortunately well out of my price range. If it wasn't for such a hefty price tag, I'd have been tempted to get one of those. Why can't they make an affordable (and possibly pre-built) model?

This design is the ONLY part of the movie that was cool. The tripod was excellent and this model is excellent too.
