Hey Guys & Girls,
I have an official poster magazine that was published by galaxy publication in 1978 to mark the release of the JW WOTW it was licensed to Ollie records, its not in great condition now but still a great item, it has blueprints for the fighting machine and handling machine as well as a great poster at its centre, it could scan it and show you guys but i'm not sure how to upload to the site, I could sent it to Horsell if he would like and he could publish?, anyway it is worth a look. I have no idea if its worth anything, although Marie at Jeff Wayne Music offered me £10 for it (original cover price 40p), I don't know if this is a good offer or not, can you guys help?.
cheers,
still looking for my ball! ;D

[glow=purple,2,300]Well, you could be sitting on a goldmine!
We have some scans of the poster mag elsewhere on this site, and the blueprints are now both prints & posters available from the WOTW online shop. I'm hoping that the handling machine in the field poster will be in the collectors edition booket.
As for price - some people will pay a lot for that! I was watching one of these Poster Mags on eBay a few months back, and I stopped watching it once it hit £23, with 3 days to go. With eBay though, its risky - sometimes an item will have no interest, another time people will fight over it!
Can't help with your ball though - it'll turn up though - usually in the last place you look!! ;D[/glow]

You say you have been offered £10 for it and you also say the condition is not good - this is what goes against you - condition. If its in poor to fare condition, then £10 is good. In near mint you would be looking at £18 - £25, that's what I would offer. If the magazine is not worth anything personally to you and you don't wan't it anymore I would except the offer, though I would take into consideration 1/ the magazine has been out of print since 1978 and 2/ it's a collectable item in itself.
I will have to look for the images of that poster mag because we do have them posted somewhere on the site.

Thanks HTT & HC,
Yep Horsell that's the one although mine is in not as good condition as that one (pin holes in the corners, a slight tear here and there), I think I'll wait untill JF WOTW comes out in 2007/2008, by the way in my communications with Marie at JWM.com sony have issued a guide price for the forthcoming re-release of WOTW of £70 - £80 which is a bit more than I thought.
anyway guys in work now so better go
cheers again.

I've bought this poster magazine in excellent condition on E-Bay a few years ago. If I remember it correctly, I paid something like 13 euro for it. That's about 11 dollars.

"electrified basket" thats a pretty scary idea, would be awsome (if not a little sick) to see that in a movie

My mum bought the magazine in WHSmith when it was released (40p) It's still in really good condition, and that painting is my all-time favorite. Those machines look amazing in bright, crisp white! I have been told on many occasions that there is at least one other poster mag, featuring the red weed, but I have never seen any proof of this. Anyone in the know?
Also, who else has noticed the mistake on the handling machine? Is this rogue brushwork the reason why the painting was never featured in the LP booklet?
