Just in case anyone was wondering (I've had lots of queries around the sites), I've had this confirmation from JWM. Still cameras will be allowed into the shows, but people are asked to adhere to a 'no-flash' policy. Video cameras or other video or audio recording equipment are strictly NOT allowed.
If anyone is taking a camera, we'd love to see your pics! Feel free to post them on the board.

Lol.. I`ll take a camera tomorrow Nerfy I may hold back on my pics for the site initially so I don`t spoil anything for everyone. Although I`ll up em to the web on photobucket so you can have a look if you do so wish Isnt there a rule in photography that you can bypass using a flash in a darkened venue such as a concert hall simply by speeding up the aperture of the camera.. faster the lens speed will be, the brighter the pic and thats WITHOUT a flash... Correct me if I`m wrong guys!

I've had this confirmation from JWM... Cheers. Is there anywhere online that this is stated? So I can quote them on it as I get thrown out! ;D

You can say that Damian, head of Jeff Wayne Music has said so. That's who told me. Anyway, it's online here, and I'm an admin on Jeff's official site as well as here.... I would though, just to be sure and if you really want to take pics, call the venue in case they have special regulations.

At the BIC Dress Rehearsal, there was a bloke wandering about in the aisles saying Still cameras were allowed just not video and no flashes..
Not many of mine came out, so will be interested to get others from people on the sites.

In defence of the general public, and being honest and frank - who cares. People will still take camera's, MP3s and palm camcorders in and mark my words, give it a couple of days and recordings and such will be up for offer on ebay. . . . You can't beat technology and some will go at arms length to make a buck or two.

I suppose with all the copyright and that, things could get nasty, and in the spirit that we`re all fans, most of us are going to at least one of the gigs! Plus look at it from someone like Nerfy`s point of view.. he works on both this site as well as Jeffs, last thing we want to do is get him in any hassle. So I`m happy to wait for the pics, and just make do with the (cr*p) ones I took last night! Very shaky lol!

I'm happy to wait for any pics - I'm not even seeing the show because I live in Australia.
Keep us posted to when the Hi res pics are released please.

The fans are the ones lining his pockets, he does,nt own this forum it's a fan run forum. I can't be assed to see his crummy show, so it would be nice to see some real (not faked too look better than it is) pics from the mighty Wayne. Just my opinion...D.F* *Having a bad hair day

It's not up to me, ultimately. Nor do I have the inclination to upset the applecart over something like this. This isn't my site and I know that Rob would want for us to comply with these wishes. Also, as PP pointed out, the situation is a little difficult for me being involved from both sides. Rest assured, if I ever feel like losing my position as Mod here and on Jeff's site and all the goodwill with JWM that I have built up (that actually benefits all of us here and around the fan sites), I will indeed tell Jeff to 'get stuffed'. But as I don't, I will comply with the request. Anyway, it's only request to hold off for a week or so, not a ban or anything.

I'd think probably once the tour is over? This is normally what happens with live shows, anyway... most seem to leave it until a couple of days after the tour has ended, so people going to the show won't have the surprises ruined... Just a guess, though - it may be completely different in this case. Personally, I think allowing the release of unofficial photos would be a good advertisement for the show, but it is up to JWM in the end.
