[/img] I don't now what it is, I cant put my finger on it, but something does not seem right about this. Its hard to explain, but I have this funny feeling (nothing to do with anything I ate). I could be WAY off, its just this feeling I get when looking at the poster.
You can say that again. It's a bit like one of Pendragons Bug Wars type films.

[/img] Coming to a run down, flee pit of a cinama near you!. A film, with actors in it, featuring a host of other people who were collared when shopping in there local store. Based upon a novel written a very long time ago about things not human who are bad tempered and build machines with less legs than the ones you see on this crummy poster. Music by who ever has time to switch on there grubby CASIO keyboard. Produced by the one who did such classic films such as the one's the art department who put this together can't even remember. Directed by a guy who has just left working in a bar down town because he wanted to do something better with his life. . . And is still waiting.
Rated PG (P***takingly Goofy)

Don't you just hate to be a WotW fan? One day, you are depressed by the lack of material available... the other day you are depressed by the overload of items... Who's gonna pay for all of this? Not me, I tell you! Can't afford all of this... :-(

Sounds like an oppertunist rip off to me. Bet a couple of years ago they were were wondering what film to make, and then they hear SS was making a big budget alien invasion and so thought yeah we'll do that!!!
Strangely timed to come out bout the same time as SS. I don't mean to be gloomy but it'll be ultra cheap. PP version will be a block buster in comparisson.
Or maybe...!?!

I suppose someone has to say it.. *Ahem* At least we've heard of two of the actors in this one, even if they aren't exactly A list.

[/img] No one have beleived that in the early part of the 21st century, human affairs were being bombarded with tacky rip off movies. No one would have dreamed we were being coned into thinking they were going to be good even though large studios were doing better. And yet across the golf of the cinama screen, minds inmeasurably smarter than the one's putting these tacky films together, regarded these cinama releases with envious eye's, and slowly and surely, they gave us big budget versions

I don't think so, Sean.. That website just sends you round in circles. Good point made there Horsell... This particular bandwagon seems to be getting more and more jumped on.. Let's just hope the wheels don't come off before we get the definitive version of Mr Wells' masterpiece.

I can't speak for anyone but myself when I say that I am very excited that we have all of these movies to choose from. Whether or not they meet my expectations, I'll have four WOTW movies to watch and appreciate. I've been waiting my whole life for this movie and soon all of the waiting will be over. The only other thing that makes this year so sweet is the return of Doctor Who and Family Guy! So be happy that we have these films everyone. Some we will like more than others but at least we finally get to see new a new WOTW with different interpretations.

But as cheap and cheesy as it's likely to be, the pictures _still_ look better than anything Pendragon have released.

www.imdb.com/title/tt0449040/It's been renamed to 'Invasion' and Jake Busey plays a Major Samuelson. It's also stars William Fichtner a very good actor. Although it seems it is only going to be a straight to video job.

Now thats sly, call it WOTW first because the name gets more hits, then change it later to 'Invasion' after everyone has got a general idea to what its roughly based on.
