Product Enterprise could make one, given the rights to do so. A couple of years ago, they 'hedged their bets' and produced an original run of 6000 12" Eagle Transporters (see sig) - but the fanbase (which is tiny) went mental over them. So much so that they've now sold tens of thousands of Eagles - and produced four variants, together with two 23 inch Studio scale versions. www.productenterprise.comwww.productenterprise.com/anderson.htmlI'm not saying petition them, but...

Ah, but we're talking a replica more for the masses/casual collector - or those like myself, who don't have much spare time (or the skills) to build. Having said that, the PE 12 Eagles sell like hotcakes to modellers and non-modellers alike.

Diecasts and such, now were talking.
Jeff Wayne owns the rights to merchandising of WOTW materials. With the hype of 2005 all over and done with and with 28 years passed, were still waiting for those collectible miniatures. Sadly they have not appeared, be it lack of funding or not finding anyone good enough to produce them.
There were plans of a large scale JW/MT Fighting Machine made by DARKHORSE, with a release at the end of 2005, bit it never came due to (they say) production problems. Though the machine looked impressive, the price tag was not and I don't think sales would have been that great for a machine that does not resemble that of the machine seen in the classic Michael Trim album cover painting (the machine was the 2005 updated version).
The chances of anything coming out in the next few years are a million to one - but still we wait.

Looks like that company makes good quality models... it would be cool if they could make some diecast WotW models... but considering the problems with copyright etc I don't know if it'll actually be able to happen.

I'd rather a pre-made thing, not a kit.

That's what we're after. The wheels are in motion.

The wheels are in motion. But tripods don't have wheels...

Eagle, you'd know - is the Handling Machine available right now? That "pending approval" tag is a bit worrying...

Smart! ;D Thanks HC, i want to get both of them and i'm veering towards the Handling Machine as i'm still having nightmares over building the very first release of the Tripod and attempting to get the darn thing to stand up I take it that its a better build now its re-tooled?

The Handling Machine is better, but there is still plenty of work to be done on the body of the machine. For example they have put a odd looking raised flange around the sides of the body that really should not be there, so some sanding will be required. The legs and details are in white metal.
The Fighting Machine is better this time round. The legs are no longer white metal, but are now 2 piece resin structure. The hood has been hollowed out making it lighter.

Ok, ta for that. Was holding out for the Dark Horse pre-paint so all the effort would be gone but i guess that ain't happening now.

A cautionary note on white metal and resin; the materials can and often do sag/warp over a relatively short time. I'll be holding out for the die cast version - hopefully from PE.

That's if anyone decides to make a diecast of them. Maybe someone should approach PE and suggest it to them.
