Here is a brief rundown of what models are currently out on the market and some discontinued kits (but worth looking out for) Available from the U.S from www.monstersinmotion.comAlso available from Monsters In Motion and from the U.K Erm, from Japan at a guess - details anyone? Details for this can be found here: www.tin-soldier.com/tripod.htmThis is so cool, just print it off onto card and cut it out, bit of glue and da daaa. For info here: www.cutnpastesf.com/The older versions of Comet Miniatures model kits from 1993 . . . . . . and the newer version that is being re-released very soon along with its companion - The Handling Machine from www.cometminiatures.co.ukH_C

I have seen this one in the shops, about £30., but not for almost a year. I have seen it on a couple of stalls around the NEC shows and Comet Miniatures do have it.

The Japanese one is an injection plastic kit from the Jap tv series STARBLAZERS and I'm pretty sure it's called a DARK NEBULA TRI - LEG TANK, or words to that effect. Hope it gets reissued!
I did have the page with a photograph of the model saved to my favourites but it seems to have gone missing. I'll have a look for it.

That first kit pictured (which I've always liked, BTW) is, I suspect, inspired by the Frank R Paul cover:

That first model is, in my opinion, the closest to Wells's description.

Any flying machine models? Or are those not popular enough..... I take it your referring to the actual Flying Machine as mentioned in the book instead of the George Pal 53 War Machines. If 'yes', at the moment no - BUT Jeff Wayne is currently working on a set of static display models from his album/film of the Fighting Machine, Handling Machine AND Flying Machine. As its too early I don't have aany other information regarding those models, but as soon as I get something I will post it up.

[glow=red,2,300]Sounds like there is some good JW stuff on the way. It's a shame the other models lack significant details of Wells description. [/glow]
