Who likes what?
I like strategy games. I like to see things on a grand scale. ;D
By puzzle game I mean sudoku (I think that's how you spell it) and the like.
By board game I mean monopoly and the like games (Pretty much board games that have been turned into a computer game).

My first love is FPS games, so I've gone for 'shooters'. I like to dabble in other genres though.

Shoot 'em up. Nothing like popping a virtual cap in someone's arse! ;D

Erm.... I like 'God' games like Civilization so I voted strategy because I suppose they come under that, also I really love war games like 'Panzer General' or 'Close Combat' ;D I never really got on with shooters, Doom 3 annoyed me when about 3/4 of the way through it basically became a platform game

What I also like is a mix of Shoot em up and startergy, like Resident Evil.

Ever since Doom turned up on Playstation (I never owned a PC and the Mac's turned up years later), it's been First Person Shooters for me. However, I am starting to want more depth in the games and more choices/possible outcomes. Even Half-Life 2, which is absolutely stunning, is very much of the run around, shoot things, survive type game with a few variations and it's just too short! Even on 'hard'. And what about the Halo games- great story, very cinematic, but the graphics date really quickly (though are initally stunning) and the gameplay is very one dimensional.
My friend gave me his Myst trilogy box (I had Riven years ago)- sadly, I can't get Myst 3 to work on OS X despite the downloadable patches and there's no other stuff on the webnet about it. Gutted- though they're hard and long winded, those games are beautiful. I'd like to see something like that playable in full motion- not just snapshots. I think that the amount of memory and graphics power available now could easily do it justice.
I also like Civilization and really miss the classic top-down/side-on shooter- Gradius etc. They just don't really make'em any more.
Now what I'd like to see, is an epic, hundreds of hours long, game with a 3D and physicsengine akin to Half Life, loads of exploring and puzzle solving, less emphasis on killing everything and multiplayer gameplay really built for co-operation rather than increasing the firepower. I've got an idea and am starting to flesh it out- will take ages and knowing me, I'll never finish it, but if I do- I may punt it around to see who's interested.

As a first choice id have gone for MMORPG, however my second love is Strategy, then 1st and 3rd person games, not specifically shooters tho. I also like to dabble in a little Sudoku every now and then

I must admit- I'm tempted o get World of Warcraft- I do like RPG games (and my Mac will just about handle it), but it's another subscription to pay out every month and I know it will start eating into all of my free time!
Oh well...
Hey- does anybody remember Dungeon Master- I absolutely loved this on the Atari ST- I spend many, many hours replaying levels to build up the magic and brawn of my characters. Even to the point where the wizards had great fighting skills and the fighters were very magical (this took a long time and much patience...). I'd love an emulation of this on the old Maccy.

The MMO I play is WoW, and yes............ it does chew away at your free time, cleverly so you dont realise the time passing. Log on at 13:00 for a little while, do a little hunting and look back at the clock, 17:00.............. and you're like, so where did that go
