I agree it's brave on his side to try, and i'm sure he did the best he could. I think the problem is the HIGH spectations we all had regarding this film, which turned to be a piece of crap. Asylum's version is crap as well, but there's no bashing because expectations were low anyway. To put it in other words: he deserves this not for the bad film he made, but for promising heaven, making us believe this could be the one film we dreamed with, and after claim (still today it seems) that his film is very very good. I reckon that deserves some bashing.

I would just like to make a point that the one thing I do NOT agree with is all the fake comments and reviews that have been put with Hines' work. As I said before, I have no problem with Hines putting clips on YouTube- fair play, at least people can see the clips and make up their own mind if they want to buy the film or not. Good advertising, and at least it is honest in that regard. What I don't like is the obvious dishonest praising comments saying it is the best film ever etc.

So why does no shot in the trailer on youtube last for more than half a dozen frames?

What I find funny are people who have nothing better to do than complain about war of the worlds films, after the rest of us have simply run out of reasons to care. I've yet to see this much promised better version you guys keep promising us you can do. Har har

And I don't recall calling Timbo brave. I recall calling him the lying little failure he really was. Look else where for the brave comments, they didn't come from me. And as I recall, it was prescily that attitude kind of childish language and behavour that got one of our more mature posters, Zoe, to up and leave.

Oh, stop getting your knickers in a twist - Jesus, you really do need to find a sense of humour. It's pretty self-evident, one would have thought, that saying you don't care one way or the other about a subject, then moaning on about people who moan on about it, and then keeping the subject alive by that self-same moaning is pretty self-defeating and worthy of ridicule, gentle as it was. One would also have thought that you could take a joke - clearly not.

Oh, and don't lump me in with the guys who want to make their own film, I have no such illusions.
