Well personally I find it outrageous that the other backer pulled out their 50p at the last minute! Disgusting behaviour! ;D KR

It would have been better if Timbo's WotW would never have been finished or published. Then the story would never have been screwed over so badly and Hines' reputation wouldn't have suffered so badly. It's a bit sad actually because Chrome looked like it 'was' quite promising.

The moral of the story is get the project you promised done first before you start on another. Chrome looked a little more promising than the production they fianlly rushed realeased

it was publicity, whats more attention grabbing WOTW or chrome? Well based on the footage currently available for both films, I would say 'Chrome'! ;D KR

I'm not going through this again
Save to say what Chrome's trailer showed was clearly of better quality than what WOTW ended up being. But thats what a trailer does. need I remind you how excited ALL of us were when the Speilberg film was trailered on a weekly basis.
WOTW was the wrong project and the wrong time and done by the wrong people, it's as simple as that. Only a fool, like Hines, woudl say otherwise.
You finish what you start, Hines didn't. He F****ed up, and he won't face up to it. I think thats the greater tragedy

It's a pity really. IMO if Mr. Hines had just shown a little slice of humble pie and listened to the likes of us on this site and elsewhere, he would have had some support, morally or otherwise. As it was, he bit back at the fans first, and I think that was totally childish. I believe that his ego was far greater than his intentions to provide great films on any budget. I wish the guy all the best in the world, and I hope he learns from his mistakes, but I won't hold my breath.

In fact let's hope he doesn't tarnish the dvd world [ or god help us ] the cinema world ever again!

TBH, he couldn't really have done WOTW much worse so any improvement would be welcome!!! ;D Its highly unlikely that if Chrome were finished it would be anywhere near a half-decent film, but if it were, would you still slag it off just because Timbo were behind it? KR Definitely not Killraven! I wouldn't slag it off just because Hines is behind it but I don't think he deserves any more attention. If he's used WOTW to get publicity for himself and Chrome then I think the WOTW and sci fi fan community in general should just ignore him. Chrome would most probably have been crap anyway. He's had far too much publicity already!

Chrome always looked like a cheesy hack job to me. Would any of the people on this board honestly have given it a second glance if it wasn't for the WOTW connection? I doubt it. So why give it any attention in the first place? It looks like sh*te, and I couldn't care less if Tim finishes it or not, or even if he makes another film again. The guy deserves no attention whatsoever.
