I still really want to see this film, despite all the bad reviews, I must be mad. Who'd recomend it? Evan just as a decent way to pass the time.

Did you know that in American prisons, on death row, the lethal injection has been replaced by this film. The American Civil Liberties Union has filed in federal court for an injunction against this barbaric practice, under the constitutional protection against cruel and unusual punishment. Dozens of death-row inmates have gone on a hunger strike, appealing to be worked to death on a chain gang instead. ;D

I would actually recommend watching this, or at least as much as you can stand. Only because, if you dont, you may forever be saying, "how can it be that bad?"......... or "surely it cant be that bad, i mean, im open minded about films". It really has to be seen to be beleived, unless you have to buy it, then I'd suggest giving it a miss.

I think the only reason we watch this movie is so that we can criticise it after.

Unfortunately, it's bad films that make interesting conversations and debates. I mean, if it's a great film, here's the typical discussion:
"Great film!"
"Yeah, great. Great acting, great story."
"Yeah, just great."
<silence>
"So, d'you think it'll rain?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~
But seriously, I do think this film should be seen by all serious students of film, and should be shown in film classes. It's a fantastic example of why editing is so important. Not joking at all; this film has given me a new appreciation for editing.
The 'Bad' films do seem to generate all the discussion. Since when a film is so 'good' there's really nothing to talk about. And I agree with you Lensman about showing it in Film Classes. Excellent idea.
