You never guess who I saw down at a London rag market this afternoon?
The man himself, selling copies of the film from a suitcase. He did not hang around long though as he felt the pressure of the old bill near. I saw him quickly close his battered suitcase and jump into a dirty yellow coloured 3 wheeled van with T.I.T written on the side - Timbos Independant Trading Co (Amazon - Ebay - Walmart)
Shouting "This time next year, i'll be a millionare!" ;D

Oddly enough I saw Anthiony Piana with him, he was on a moblile talking to someone called 'Cassandra'? and Jack Clay was looking a bit scruffy, kept saying "during the war!"

And the bloke driving it looked well shifty. I went up to the driver and asked if he really was T.H. but he covered his face instantly, said no cameras - then sped off. As he was driving off a suitcase fell outta the back doors. When I looked inside it was full of Monopoly money.

He was standing next to Spielberg who was hawking copies of "The Goonies," and Jeff Wayne giving out ticket refunds for his two cancelled WAR OF THE WORLDS concerts: the world tour in the 90's and one that was supposed to happen about two or three years ago. They looked like the Three Stooges.

They looked like the Three Stooges. What Jeff Wayne WOTW concerts?, he has never done any until the one's for next year. Those you refere to were not Jeff Wayne concerts. The only connection they had was they featured the albums soundtrack along to laser lights and fireworks - apart from that nothing else to do with Jeff Wayne. The one from a couple of years ago were to include HAWKWIND, but the guy putting the gig together was a bit of a conman (to coin a term) and he never obtained rights from JWM/ORP to use the music. So the bloke took poples money and ran - nice eh.

Please let us know when part two of the interview appears. I'm very curious what Hines got to say about the special effects and stuff..

It seems from the article that Timbo is very specifically criticising Paramount and Jeff Wayne's Attorney. And the Paramount claim is verified by Variety. We've yet to hear from horsell_common concerning my request yesterday if he knows if Jeff Wayne's attorney chats in this group or others without identifying himself, as Timbo claimed. The problem I'm having is if SOME of what Timbo said is verified, then he's got a solid gripe and has the right to talk about it if he wants. Where there is smoke there is often fire.

It is non of mine or anyone elses buisness if Jeffs lawyers visit the websites, afterall it is a free country

George, it's a matter for Jeff Wayne and Tim Hines to deal with. Not Horsall, who is not invloved in this issue as any more than a fan with close ties with Jeff. We'd appriciate it if you could direct your questions to the people who do kno, like say, Hines and Wayne themselves. And even if Horsall did know, why should he tell us anything? Tim should be sued for that comment, maybe it wil put an end to this ridiculous chapter once and for all.

horsell_common: My request was on another thread in the Pendragon section. I seem to be making people very jumpy asking questions about Jeff Wayne's attorney and Timbo's claims of legal harassment by him. I never said there was anything wrong with Jeff Wayne's attorney chatting here and not telling people who he is, I just thought somebody might be able to identify him so we could ask if it is true that he sent Timbo legal threats. Some of Timbo's other claims were verified in Variety and I thought this would be interesting, but I get the sense nobody wants to talk about it.

horsell_common: How can I post images. I am not the computer literate and I can't figure it out. I have this great poster of Jeff Wayne's cancelled world tour from the 90's I'd like to put up.

If you have the image already on your PC, join up with an image hosting company - try www.photobucket.com. They are FREE and good. Once on there, use there download functions and load the image into there folder. It will then supply a link and you can then put the picture online for people to see.

I'm kinda curious as to your point with that. Rock stars cancel their tours all the time, for good and bad reasons. What Hines did was lie to his ausidence, lie to his sponsours and try to pass of a half assed fan ptoject as a profesional piece of work. It doesn't matter if it was released or not, the end result is the film, was bad, and lioke any tour or concernt, deserevs equal critism for such. If Tim Hines wants to play with the big boys, he has to to take the knocks that come with it. People expect more from films these days, and HInes, for all his excuses, for all his so called efforts, simply didnt delvier. It's a harsh world out there, it's about time Hines learned his lessons, licked his wounds and learned soemthng from it. Instead he's pining for the sympathy vote. BIg deal Paramount bullied him, may even Wayen himself, it still shouldnt have stopped him from doing something half way decent, and even acurate. (sorry the hefty rounded bulk off the martians in the book were nothing like the Helium filled ballons that we saw in the film)
