How was the Thunder Child scene improved? I mean, it couldnt have been hard to do, but WHAT did they change?

That what I'm curious about. In a interview Hines said that the director's cut makes it passable. But WHAT did they improve? Or did they made it passable by just cutting out the worst scenes of the ship?

In a interview Hines said that the director's cut makes it passable. But WHAT did they improve? Well, given that even Charles Keller, Timbo's most generous supporter, has said that no sfx have been reworked, all that has been done is to edit out the most boring bits of interminable walking, I would surmise that the answer to your question is 'F**k-all'.

Charles is the only person who has posted here who has actually seen it, that I can recall.. so I guess we have to take his word for it. Anyway.. the first cut was the 'Director's Cut', surely...Timbo did the editing on the original didn't he? So what does that make this... The 'Director's Cut Cut'? Perhaps advertising standards should be told?

Yes Bittersound- you're often found beating yourself, aren't you?! When you're not offering to show girls at the local your trouser-tripod?
And did that poo have a hole in it before you found it?
Answers on a postcard to the usual address please!

I'm still at a loss as to whether the International DVD using Region 4 and 2 will play in the UK on a PAL system as the specs say it's NTSC DVD. Now my TV doesn't handle NTSC so it only makes sense that it won't work.
Is this correct?

Just thought on, it doesn't matter if I watch it on my PC as they can handle both PAL and NTSC.
Cool!

To clear everything up, any Region 2 disc should play in the UK as that is the configuration for the UK... Regarding this release though, Pendragon are only selling to select countries inc. Japan and Australia, NOT Europe (due to copyright reasons, no doubt). So unless you have a mate out there to buy one for you and send it on there's no improvement to practically buying this version over the old one. KR

Soooooooooooo, still no one and I repeat NO ONE has seen this Directors Cut yet.
The original, I was glued to the edge of my seat . . . . .
. . . . or I would have got up and left the room.

I bought an ooky copy of the original Pendragon film. Paid 13quid for it!!!!! Thought it was legit. Zoinks.
I'll still get the directors cut one tho. I actually loved the film. It really only works if you loved the book, and dont mind ham-acting and stage-prop effects...And have a very large cup of STRONG coffee to hand!!!

Soooooooooooo, still no one and I repeat NO ONE has seen this Directors Cut yet. Correction: I have seen it. I can't say if its out in stores (though honestly I haven't looked for it there) and it's probably been five or six months since I've heard from Hines. I get the feeling he might have moved on with his life - at least as far as this film is concerned. ***cough cough***

Apart from Charles, I have yet to see anyone at all in the community that has. I think Charles has the only copy.

I'll have to check for it in stores...the copy I have is from Pendragon themselves and not a factory copy...
