I'd like to see this movie, but don't want to pay Hines any money: does anyone in the UK have a DVD they want to get rid of either free (in which case I'll promise to pass it on to someone else after watching it) or for some beer money?

Given that the movie costs about 8 bucks at Wal-Mart, and that the average British beer costs about £3, you'd essentially be buying the movie at cost from whoever you give beer money to, and thus, by extension, paying Tim Hines.

Not true. Once someone has bought the DVD, Hines doesn't get any more money regardless of whether they leave it sitting on the shelf or sell it on... and it would cost rather more than 3 pounds to get a copy shipped to the UK!

Yes, but if you're giving the cost of the DVD in exchange for the DVD, then, ultimately, the original buyer is left with no DVD and no debt to Hines, meaning effectively you are the one who bought it!

Same here but even if I had the movie I think I'd have to be forced to watch it.

You may be able to obtain it for just a hundred pounds at Ebay...

Obviously e-bay is the quickest way to get one. Look for one with a price in British Pounds, I think e-bay abbreviates that as GBP. Don't ignore the affiliated e-bay sites like half.com either, altho I dunno how that treats British offerings, or if there is a separate British half.com site.

Not paying stupid prices on e-bay. But I'm still interested if anyone here has a copy they want to get rid of.

I have one bit of advice for those of you in the U.S. who don't want to pay the eight dollars and change for the DVD. Wal Mart now has the VHS version of the film, which you can get for less than $6.00 (sorry I forgot the exact price).
