"Ed Wood" is a great film, but Tim Burton did incoporate a good deal of the urban legends about Wood into the film. Depp, though, from what I have read, Pretty much has the personality of Wood nailed down.

I asked Forry Ackerman (Lensman, you name dropper! ) about Ed Wood, when Forry was here in Kansas City for our "Area (19)51 Film Festival". Forry said he was Wood's "illiterary agent". ;D He also said Wood was usually drunk when he called Forry on the phone. Wood's drinking problem was entirely left out of Burton's movie.

Wow! You know Forest J Ackerman? You've just gone up a notch in my book, Lensman. You're on notch 'one'. Sorry! Sorry! I couldn't resist! I love that bit in Starsky & Hutch t'movie! But y'are a jerk, y'know? Ha ha! Just kidding! You're a great guy really! (etc. Flexo style) P.S: If you've never seen that episode of Futurama, you may be wondering what the hell I'm going on about. Me, too, actually. Oh! And top review by the way! And love the Spaceman Spiff avatar.
