I can't say for sure this is the Pendragon version, or some other program about WotW. I checked goldhill.com but as of yet no mention of WotW. Have to keep an eye on this one.

In fact you can bet even if its not the series someone will release it to jump onto that bandwagon, but I think it is that, the Pal film is out in June so it makes sense.

Hmm.. surely if it is the PP movie they'd have said so before now? I wonder what it is.. This part of it does worry me.. ''Encoding: Region 1 (U.S. and Canada only. This DVD will probably NOT be viewable in other countries.)''

All american DVD's don't work in the UK, it's standard. Unless you get a region free DVD player

Yes, I know.. I've got one. Thing is.. whatever it is might not be released officially outside the US. I've checked amazon and there is no region 2 version.

''Encoding: Region 1 (U.S. and Canada only. This DVD will probably NOT be viewable in other countries.)'' You see that on almost every DVD, it's the way the studios protect their overseas releases from being undercut. the solution is to get yourself a region free DVD player..

Sorry nerf wasn't meaning to partronise you. I got the wrong end of the stick. I've not got a region free player, does anyone know if computer DVD players are region free?

It's alright Rob.. I should've made it clearer what I meant. ''does anyone know if computer DVD players are region free? '' Mine is... sort of... but you can only change the coding a certain amount of times, what the point is of that escapes me. I rarely use it anyway. I prefer to watch DVD's on my widescreen telly. ''I heard stuff about a special addition re release dvd of the Pal film, so i think it may be that. '' Could be.. but surely there'll be a region 2 version as well?

Hi
In response to Rob's question, computer DVD drives aren't usually region free (though it is possible in certain cases to download modified firmware to change this).
However, if you download DVD Decrypter (free from the 'net) it will happily strip the region coding from any DVD and give you a nice region-free disc image on your hard drive.
You can then happily burn to DVD-R.
...or so I've heard! ;-)

Same here Nerf, my XP can only be changed a few times, so I resort to watching them on my widescreen with 5.1.
Its certainly not the Paramount 53 SE, at $10 that would make it less than £5.

I lived in Canada for a few years, Im from England, so when I came back I had some north American DVDs. You can download software to play them but they ask for a price, you can usually get a trial but thet cut out after about 30 mins - pain in the arse! My mate tells me that some DVD players can be configured to play American DVDs but I ain't sussed it yet...

For a lot of DVD players that are billed as single-region it's possible to get a 'hack' off t'internet - it's basically a series of characters you type into the remote and then beam at the player, which then makes it multi-region (I've had 2 DVD players so far; the first was free in a special offer, so the fact it was only region 2 didn't bother me - I was bothered even less when a friend gave me the hack for it before it was even delivered! The second was sold as multi-region, but was set to region 2 and the shop actually downloaded the hack instructions for me to take home!). Just google the model name and number and the word 'hack', e.g. 'Samsung dvd 1234X hack'.
There are some players that don't have hacks, some kind of chip needs to be changed or something; my daft flatmate found this out about his, so the world of region 1 is closed to him.
