Am I right in thinking that I remember talk about Jeff Wayne's CGI TELEVISION SERIES after the film or something? Or was this a rumour?

There was some talk of it yes. I think it was supposed to be made in Japan or China.

Will Jeff have any say in it?

Krys, I have said, more times than I could possibly remember, that everything is on hold until the Tour finishes. I also know that Jeff is starting work on the Tour DVD within days of the Tour finishing so I can't say if and when this will happen for now. If this thing does go ahead, at some point, you can bet that Jeff will have a say in it, anyway.

I really hope though that they concentrate on the film next.

Well, Jeff's musical, as a global brand, is going from strength to strength. These things are still 'in development' but I don't know which are taking priority. The CGI film is already underway so that's more to the front, I guess than some of the other things. Hopefully, we'll see them all at some point. I have a sneaky suspicion that a world tour is almost a cert but we'll have to see.

I know no one knows but I still like to ask questions, how good will the cgi be?

I am reading and hearing the words state-of-the-art CGI FX. The film is very much like watching the album paintings coming alive. So you have animated backdrops, buildings , towns, streets and martains but with live action (human) eliments. From the mini trailor I have seen that will hopefully be released at the end of the tour (and going online at http://www.mediastation.co.uk) and with the footage being used for the "live" shows, it's as good as it will ever be.

It's not "them", Krys. The movie is "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow". Almost all scenes use 100% CGI for the background. Even for nearly all interior sets, the walls and some of the furniture are CGI. The vehicles (including period automobiles) and some of the "props" are CGI, too. A lot of Peter Jackson's "King Kong" was also done that way. I think most of the exterior scenes (jungle, New York City) used CGI backgrounds and automobiles.

Ahh, I can remember all the comments a while ago "The FM's in the teaser animation look cool, but its all down to how real the people look". Well I guess that covers it then, they'll look incredibly real cus they are

And if it as good as PJ's King Kong it should be great! Lets face it, it will NOT be as good as PJs KING KONG simply because JWM do not have $100 million to shovel into the film. But all said and done, it WILL be good because there using todays state-of-the-art FX. Remember with FX, what is new today (groundbreaking) is old tomorrow.

What is good today might not be so good tomorrow because something else comes onto the market. With CGI and FX evolving all the time I think that this movie will be great when ever it comes out. ;D

Apparently Sir Ian McKellen is in today's Daily Mirror saying that he thinks the FX in LOTR already look dated. Christ, how fast is the world moving? I think I'm starting to get old.... ....Might as well join a tribute band, as old Rockas do....

The CGI at the show looked great. A whole film made up of that would be fine for me. If it's better, that's a bonus.

Funnily enough, when I watched it first in 2001 I thought there were some effects that were a bit ropey. If you think about it though - that's not a problem these days as all they have to do is go back and just digitally enhance them some more.
