JWM has annouced some 250+ items for TWOTW over the next couple of years, so 250 differant mug paterns may be stretching it a bit far ;D
Anyhow, if a tripod model kit is a little to much work to start with, a already assembled static version is on its way.

Interesting! Please tell me it's going to be either diecast or hard injection plastic though. Or a mixture of both like Product Enterprises Gerry Anderson craft or Code 3's Star Wars vehicles.

Injection I would guess.

As you'll most probably know - pre-assembled diecast or injection plastic models seem to be vastly outselling kits now, so I think that would be a great move on Jeffs part. I'm sure Product Enterprise are doing quite well with their accurate Space 1999 eagles and UFO stuff which are aimed at older collectors.

The shows I attend as a dealer, most of the other dealers deal with those kind of pre-built models, and as you say they are out selling the kits.

Right! Motivation has struck me, I'm off to make a scratch built Jeff Wayne tripod. I have the balsa blocks to make a master to take a mould from so I should be able to build a small army Wish me luck and I'll post some pictures once (if) they're done. May be a while though, I started building the Jeff Wayne Thunderchild six years ago and only have a hull to show for it. Is a metre long though!

The Japs are really in to their robots and stuff. I hope any models of the Jeff Wayne style tripods have transparent or semi transparent/ translucent plastic eyes. Maybe even ones that light up!

[glow=purple,2,300]Well, I'm hoping the Japs will produce a remote-controlled 18" tripod!!
I know the mechanics of a tripodical walk may take some fancy hydraulics, and make it quite expensive, but cor! I'd want one!
Then I'd take it down to one of those miniature village places, and let it loose! Stomp, stomp, stomp!! Take that LegoLondon! Bye Bye Lilliput Lane! Oh, and it'd have to shout 'Ulla' as well!! [/glow]
