Poyks - That piece is superb!!  I remember talking basses to you on the official forum, but bugger me you`re very talented.. Another excellent piece of music, Poyks! It has an eerie and almost hypnotic essence to it. And as always, some superb bass playing. It's got the windows rattling!

After a few more listens Poyks, I take back my comments about the levels- the bass sits just fine! There's me- opining again! It is still, as I said before though, fantastic! The layering of the guitars is great. Which guitars do you use, by the way? I'm a bit of a gear geek, see?

As long as I have a small mention in the credits (good for the C.V.), you can use any of the music that you think will be OK.
Donal, I'm using an 80's Japanese Fender Strat through old Guyatone pedals and a Carlsbro Rebel90 amp. The bass of course is my old Rickenbacker.

Poyks, do you play all of the instruments yourself, or do you have a band to play them? Just listened to Chobham Road again, & I've got to say its sounds bloody brilliant. I'm finding that the whole piece is the hook, & not just a bit here and there. It has crystal clear guitar and a lovely snappy snare sound (is that acoustic drums or a midi file?). Poyks, I'm serious, if you need for any reason, anyone to dep on the drums for you & its feasible for me to do it, then I'll be glad to help you out - I'm serious . I'll PM you my details OK? |
