thats a cool drawing spain, but its too organic for my tastes. wells described the Martians as intricate engines of glittering metal, boilers on stilts. the one you drew looks more like a living creature. still a good drawing though

Very interesting designs. I've seem 'em before. Yeah, they are very organic...maybe too much. But art is subjective, so I like it. That harvesting machine...boy, reminds me quite abit like my design. Y'even got the same name. Either we have very alike minds, or you saw my art before. No prob though, just amusing. www.deviantart.com/view/3029737/

I like your designs Spain, very art nouvae, which strangely enough someone has saids Wells was a fan of. Ive always fel art nounae was the style to go with. Not organic but natuaral in feel.

Perfect, I will do some drafts of conference of the tripods, in order that you could shape them, if you want, clearly. Thank you in advance malfunkshun

Some lovely drawings there ArtillerymanSpain. If only I could have the patience, much less the talent, to produce anything like this!
I tend to agree with malfunkshun in that they are too organic for my taste though. I prefer them with an otherworldly mechanical look.

Oh, yes. This is heading in a very nice direction. I especially like the mechanical detail in the hood, the shape of the hood in the overview (a little less 'nose' than in the close-up), and the fact that the tentacles are significant, as Wells describes them. Nicely done!
Some points to think about for future renderings:
On animals that run quickly (as the FMs are purported to do), the upper leg is usually somewhat shorter than the lower leg. Say, 60%?
The 'musculature' for each leg segment would be concentrated nearest to the body, with the leg 'thinning out' farther from the base joint. Makes it easier to swing the leg when the mass is concentrated close to the pivot. Our own legs are built this way, and you've done a very nice job with this sort of thing on the lower leg, already.
Perhaps a skosh larger on the body vs. leg sizes?
Please take these as the nit-picky suggestions they are - you really have done a beautiful job, just as it is!

I tell you, this is one of the best of the 'sprawling' FM designs I've seen (as opposed to the 'tall tripod' designs such as Alvim Correa)
Very nice work!

hmmm... i think the 'head' is too small. or the body is too small... something isn't right. i liked your earlier mechanical version better

Well, it´s that I am doing several tripods, I will do one every week more or less, and according to the general taste, pués will do one totally finished in color and drafts of drawing. Thank you for the critiques
