What with being all fired up again with the DVD and the tickets booked for next year and building a Manta diorama and a new Martian (phew! ), i've been listening to the album on my MP3 player a hell of a lot. So, stuck on a train or in the Post Office queue, i've been noticing and thinking about things that i've never done before. Like: "At Byfleet we came upon an inn but it was deserted." "Is everybody dead?" Isn't that odd? Surely Byfleet would have consisted of more than just the inn. If that was deserted, surely all the houses around would have been too. Followed by the "Not everybody - look. Six gunners standing by" Can never decide - is the narrator saying the "Six gunners" line to us or to the artilleryman? "There were a dozen dead bodies in the Euston Road" Why the change from the books Fulham Road?

You mean "six cannons with gunners standing by." This was to the Artilleryman. The "At Byfleet we came upon an Inn, but it was deserted" I took it as just being the Inn that was deserted, possibly locked up as people were milling about in the high street and railway station.
Not really sure about the Euston Road.

Remember ther Narrator didnt go to London orignally he headed for Leatherhead, and the Parson didn't have a wife mentioned in the book. Jeff took liberties, which is only right to make the product work
