I think this deserves it's own section along with the other inerpretations. I heard this a long time ago, but now it's out on audio CD from the BBC Audio "Classic Radio Sci-Fi" series. It's a six parter set during the 1960's. It's rather opinionated narrator is played by Paul Daneman and for it's day is quite a creepy piece of work. He pulls of a pre Richard Burton pretty well. See if you can pick ut the lines Jeff Wayne (by fate or design) used for his later muscial version.

awesome! It can be bought via the War of the Worlds online store here: www.waroftheworldsonline.com/forums/store.htmIt's the bottom right product on the front page. We'll see what the response is like but I would consider making a new section if it's big enough.

Now that it's available it is worth thinking about. Will have to get me a copy of that.
