What is it with me and odd coincidences today? Sorry, I will explain, whilst looking earlier for a picture of the spielberg tripod model I came across the above image also. It's a beaut !

I have that image as a backdrop on my PC. You really will enjoy it more in a much larger format. The detailing on the hull of the TC is amazing and the image is almost photographic. My only gripe about the image is the paddle steamer - it's a Missisippi paddle boat which does not fit properly into the image seen. . . Such a shame.

This is a picture from a war of the worlds film which is meant to be coming out at the end of this year.

My only gripe about the image is the paddle steamer - it's a Missisippi paddle boat which does not fit properly into the image seen. . . Such a shame. You're right there, it sure is tasty! I've also saved the larger version - amazing detail, as you say; the texturing of the Martian machines' hoods is incredible, like relief filligree. I agree about the steamer - if you read the various comments on the artists' page (it has viewer & artist feedback) he acknowledges it, but he says he used a stock 3D riverboat as it would have taken him another month to finish it! By the sound of it he's planning more WotW images, which can only be looked forward to! ;D And maybe he'll replace the steamer one day? This is a picture from a war of the worlds film which is meant to be coming out at the end of this year. Master Haichanchu, look no further than our very own Asylum Fillums section, here! robk.proboards13.com/index.cgi?board=dvd

masterhaichanchu. The Asylum film is out already and some of us have posted reviews. David Latt, the director, is also a member here and posts occasionally. As McTodd says, check out the relevant section for more about it.

For those of you who have been missing Darkhorse's quality WOTW online comic, here is a link to the page that gives us a first look at their interpretation of the Martian tripods. I think it is pretty good and reasonably accurate. www.darkhorse.com/zones/wotw/wotw_popup.php?p=35

All the pictures (well almost all of them) are utterly amazing interpretations of the war machines. Whats good though is that they're all together, these are utterly brill thank you all for bringing them for people like me to see and admire.

The flying machine in one of those book covers looks like Thunderbird 2. International Rescue to the... er... rescue.

Hey guys guess who's back! Me! May I ask who made those artworks titled London Illustrated News with those Martin Bowman Martians and Jeff Wayne FMs? Because when I was in Hungary I found a Hungarian magazine called UFO it featured a WotW special and some pictures of fan art work were added without naming the artist or a source, badly enough I hadn't got the money to by a copy. That's all I had to say thanks for reading. Tripod
