You can see the "energy" legs briefly in the original movie when the first war machine comes out of the pit. Not sure if the TV series had mechanical ones though.

Yeah, i think they did because in another topic someone said about the pilot ship in the last episode and they said it had long spindeley legs!

The '53 machines do have 'legs'.. magnetic ones. You only see these legs in the first scene that the machines appear (they look like 3 sparkly lines coming out of the machine to the ground) and Clayton Forrester mentions them. You don't see them in the rest of the film, apparently, due to budget constraints. There was a 'Scout ship' in the series that was a tripod.. I've never seen a good pic of it though. someone posted one ages ago but it just looked like a blob. Poyks, as usual, you are a comic genius ;D. That's one way to cut down on resistance from the humans...

Matzo's heading for a quiet chat methinks... If you posted what you meant more clearly rather than just randomly tipping your scrambled brain contents (such as they are) out onto the board you wouldn't get the wrong response. DUUUUUHH!

The '53 movie does show the magnetic "legs" in the first scene. The reason that I have read about why they were not in the rest of the movie is that they almost burned down the set while filming that scene (due to using high voltage to create the arcs of the legs). So, the rest of the movie does not have the magnetic "legs".
David.

For some reason the video of Robert Palmers 'Addicted to Love' popped into my head, suitably modified with Poyks imagery of course, and now I can't get rid of it!! ;D ;D ;D
