Here is a link to information that states they are planning a new War of the Worlds series. But, it is not based on the original Novel, nor the original series. America has done it again. See the link below: comics.ign.com/articles/629/629397p1.htmlThis is getting ridiculous.

Why's everything got to be "in the aftermath of 9/11", did,nt the world exist before then?, do other countries aside from Americahollywoodland exist?. Jeez. D.F.

[glow=red,2,300]Yikes... now while I haven't read the graphic novel yet (it's on my to-buy list) I'd have hoped they'd do better than a New York setting (it's become so cliched. What ever happened to rural and small town America?)
As for the 'after 9/11' well it's always something isn't it? After Oklahoma city, after AIDS, After the Bomb, the H-Bomb etc. The only thing that has changed in scifi is the endless running-down-corridors has been reduced a little in place of wobbly camera work and sudden sings to close ups.[/glow]
