No, I thought Harryhausen did the SFX on the original (I wasn't implying he directed it). I didn't want to disrespect the original master of special creature effects. Sorry, but no. Willis O'Brien did the stop-motion animation on the original "King Kong" (1933). Harryhausen later worked with O'Brien on "Mighty Joe Young" (1949).
