 Live Tour DVD Update.
« Thread Started on Apr 8, 2006, 4:39pm »

Not long now until the Tour kicks of in spectacular fashion across the UK!
Just a quick update on what's going on with the DVD and TV showings of the show that we have mentioned before....
The DVD of the show is due to be released sometime in November and the show will be seen, worldwide, on TV soon after that.

Also slated for release is a 'making of' documentary which will also be available on DVD and shown on TV.

Specific dates and channels for the TV showings have not been determined yet, but a distribution deal has been arranged and there is a lot of interest.

We'll bring you more info about release dates, transmission times, and so on, when we get it.

I don't suppose Jeff will know which venue to choose for the DVD until the tour has finished, eh?

They're filming at Wembley and perhaps another one (Bournemouth I think), so it will be one of those.

To be fair, I can't remember which, apart from Wembley, is the other gig they have said they may be filming. I actually posted it a while back but I have a head like a sieve. I'll look it up at some point.

Personally, I would like to see the Albert Hall concert filmed and put onto DVD.

The ALbert Hall would be the better of the venues. Not only because it's in London (where WOTW ends), and the Albert Hall is famous for it's old style and Victorian music, but its interior has the best acoustics and will pick up the sound of the orchestra a lot better than any of the other shows.

Isn't it the Albert Hall thats got those 'mushroom' things hanging from the ceiling. Thats for the acoustics, isn't it?

I've just heard that the show will be filmed in Hi Def with something like 22 cameras.

Good to see that Jeff is joining the long list of artists who are going Hi Def when it comes to concerts being recorded.
