Nice to see John Williams win [ he's come up with some of the best ever soundtracks ] but the WOTW soundtrack was far from one of his best.

I love Williams his WotW soundtrack. It's like a mix between Jaws and Close Encounters. Superb!

I thought the WOTW music was dull, uninspired and boring.
Imperial March... now THATS a music score.

Agreed. The Imperial March is great.....in fact the Star Wars soundtracks [ mainly the original trilogy ] are some of the best film soundtracks ever. Possibly THE best.
How his WOTW soundtrack won though I don't know. Maybe all the other summer films had even duller soundtracks.

I dont recall one moment from this soundtrack - Halo, is how to do a "Mankind fighting a superior alien race" soundtrack... and thats by the little known Marty O'Donnel, not world famous John Williams.
I dont see how it won, but congratulations to Williams all the same.

War of the worlds had music?... all I seem to remember is a single note on a guitar amp feedback effect
ohh... right.. I get it.. another mindless homage to the 1953 film.. it was ment to be the martian call EDIT: Incase someone wants to take issue with my above coments.. ok then.. its a slowed down electronic fart
but besides from that.. what bloody music?.. I know, I know.. it supposedly had some. .but im a film music buff.. its what I generally listern to most of the time... and I dont remember any of it
however I do remember the blackmoon dubs version of pendragons movie incidential jeff wayne music, a track by palmer and another composer I used to listern to from mp3.com.au freelance music site
but as for the music on the x ammount of million dolllars movie of the "summer".... nope.. dont remember a thing.. and I missed the ending credits because I walked out when the red weed died.. I wasnt the only one to leave well before then out of general bordem

I like the Jurassic Park soundtrack. Still got the cd. And of course the Indiana Jones tune!

| I didn't - but then I don't remember a note of it. Perhaps his brief was to set the atmosphere very subtly?

The WOTW soundtrack was alright, but Willaims score for Revenge of the Sith was a million times better
